Title: The Assist- Steve Nash   |  |   Limited Edition 50 ALMOST SOLD OUT The unpredictable nature of Steve Nash's game always keeps the opposing defense guessing. In this painting, I wanted to capture in an animated style the unique gift of seeing opportunity where all paths for a play seem closed off. I used a bright and airy background to complement his facial expression of determination and surprise but maintaining his composure as he twist and turns. I used very loose brushstrokes to emphasize the immediacy of his decision-making. Fan's of Steve Nash point to his ability to make all players on his team better. His frenetic and face-paced style allow his teammates to always be ready for a pass, often as surprised as the defensive players. His uncanny abilities to see the court like some video game being played out has attracted fans from all over the world. Nash's accomplishments first started being recognized as a member of the Dallas Mavericks and grew to legendary status with the Phoenix Suns. Some accomplishments include: »  NBA's voted Most Valuable Player 2 consecutive years: 2005, 2006 »  NBA leader for 2005, 2006, 2007 for most assists and assists per game »  Nominated to NBA All-Star Team for 6 years »  Named by ESPN as the 9th greatest point guard of all-time
