The unpredictable nature of Steve Nash's game always keeps the opposing defense guessing. In this painting, I wanted to capture in an animated style the unique gift of seeing opportunity where all paths for a play seem closed off. I used a bright and airy background to complement his facial expression of determination and surprise but maintaining his composure as he twist and turns. I used very loose brushstrokes to emphasize the immediacy of his decision-making.
